What we are looking for: 

To earn this job, you need to be the type of person who loves generating and growing new business partnerships and service existing client relationships and create effective radio and digital marketing campaigns. You will connect with clients daily to uncover their needs and present advertising solutions that deliver results and earn repeat business. In addition, you will prepare campaign schedules and promotional ideas, negotiate business contracts and achieve revenue goals. 

Success in this role will require a self-disciplined, organized individual. Media sales experience is preferred, but not 100% necessary if you’re positively motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to learn. 

Here is a list of qualities we are looking for:

  • 1-2 years of sales experience preferred but not a requirement.  
  • Great problem solving and analytical abilities 
  • Strong business acumen 
  • Effective listening skills 
  • Proficiency in prospecting 
  • Strong understanding of the local market, marketing concepts, and radio media 
  • Ability to plan, communicate with, and maintain/develop customer relationships 
  • The discipline and creativity to work with diverse prospects and customers 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced & goal-oriented environment 
  • Ability to develop a strategic sales plan 
  • Ability to deliver compelling advertising presentations that address client objectives 
  • Ability to effectively overcome client objections and articulate the value of recommended solutions
