Northern Vermont University-Johnson associate professor Hans Haverkamp will discuss asthma and exercise March 8 at the Stearns Student Center Cinema.

The 4 p.m. talk, “Pulmonary Airway Function During and After Exercise in the Asthmatic,” is free for the public. Using data from his campus research, Haverkamp will discuss how exercise can induce asthmatic symptoms. He teaches in NVU-Johnson’s Environmental and Health Sciences Department.

Haverkamp’s talk is part of the NVU-Johnson Faculty Lecture Series, supported by the NVU president’s office and Vermont chapter of the American Federation of Teachers. The series runs through the academic year.
