The history of Reiki at Johnson State on September 17th.
JOHNSON, VT – Reiki Master Teacher William Kelley, Ph.D., LCMHC, will discuss “Reiki: Energy Medicine, Healing and Surgery” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Willey Library Learning Center at Johnson State College.
Reiki is an ancient energy healing system that was virtually lost to the modern world until rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1800s. It has since spread to every country, with hospitals often hiring Reiki practitioners to assist with a variety of medical treatments, including cancer. In this talk by Kelley, owner of Pyramid Holistic Wellness Center in Rutland, attendees will learn about Reiki's history as well as learn how it can be used in conjunction with traditional medicine for powerful results.
Part of the Wellness and Alternative Medicine Program’s Lecture Series, the event is free and open to the public.
