JOHNSON, VT -- Compas de Nicaragua will perform at Johnson State’s Dibden Center for the Arts on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.

The Nicaraguan Folklore Dance Tour has visited the United States three times since 2000. The fourth tour through New Hampshire and Vermont will bring the dance troupe to Johnson State to share Nicaraguan culture.

Compas de Nicaragua began as a cultural exchange program that brought American volunteers to Nicaragua on service-learning trips that helped with sustainable agricultural practices and clean water supplies. Those projects still continue and now also extend outward through dance.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information about the event, contact the Box Office, 802-635-1476 and This email address is being protected from spambots.
