The Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation and the Craftsbury Public Library are excited to present “Building Community through Astronomy: Intergenerational STEM Learning” at the Craftsbury Public Library on Saturday, April 12, at 3:00- 4:30PM. Families, grandparents, and adults without children are welcome to attend this fun program, which will be presented by astronomy educators from the Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation.

Younger children and their accompanying adults will learn about astronomy together through fun, age appropriate activities for kids while also addressing science and learning topics that will interest the adults. Families with teens and unaccompanied adults will work together to build a Galileoscope while learning about tabletop optics. The Galileoscope will be added to the library collection and will be available for checkout. Weather permitting, there will also be a solar telescope set up for participants to view the sun through.

This event, sponsored by the Vermont Community Foundation, is free and open to the public. For more information contact the library 586-9683 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
