The Enosburg Falls Lions Club is proud to present the Vermont Dairy Festival in the center of Enosburg Falls Village on June 5th to the 8th, 2014. This year’s event, the 58th Annual, will feature many of the things that have made the Dairy Festival a favorite of event goers for many years – for example: the Dairy Scholarship Pageant on Thursday night at the historic Enosburg Opera House; one of the largest parades in Vermont on Saturday morning around the village; a midway featuring rides and games from Miller Amusements; horse pulling; pedal tractor pulls; a car and motorcycle show, vendors, food, fun and more. And … the Lions Club, this year, is proud to announce an intensified entertainment schedule and the return of the Petting Zoo to the festival.

As always, the majority of the events are free including all of the entertainment on the Peoples Trust Bandstand and a ton of entertainment there is. To start things off on Friday night Singer Alanna Freeman will be singing her heart out starting at 6:00 PM as she opens for area favorite and Big Whirl Recording Artist Keeghan Nolan and the Keeghan Nolan Band. On Saturday, the entertainment gets started at noon with Carol Ann Jones and the Superchargers followed by Sylvia Fletcher, comedy ventriloquist; Todd Wellington the King of Silly; Marko the Magician; Singer/Songwriter Emily Butson and finishing out the night playing through the fireworks The Tim Brick Band. Sunday morning brings the Missisquoi River Band to the stage followed by Dan Grady’s Marionette Medley and the entertainment highlight of the weekend … a concert by Nashville Recording Artist Jamie Lee Thurston.

After a long hiatus the Petting Zoo will be returning to the Vermont Dairy Festival. The Lions Club is working with The Vermont Reindeer Farm to organize and manage it and they will be bringing a calf, miniature donkey, rabbits, goats and more for the enjoyment of all. There will be opportunities to pet the animals as well as to learn new and exciting information about each of them. This year, in celebration of its return to the Dairy Festival, the Petting Zoo will be located in a tent on the park to bring it closer to the other activities. Watch for signs pointing you in the right direction.

Also … New … this year are extended Bingo hours … B-I-N-G-O and Woo Hoo! On Saturday, June 7th Bingo will be extended into the evening with a restart at 6 pm with an end at 9 pm just in time to turn your chairs around and watch the fireworks over the Missisquoi River. The Bingo hours are being extended thanks to TimKath Enterprises of Enosburg; they are generously donating lighting in and around the bingo tent so you can see your cards. The calling and card sale will be handled by the “wives” of the management team at TimKath. Also don’t forget that you can play Bingo Friday night at 6 pm, Saturday during the day at 2 pm and Sunday at 1 pm just like always.

All of this and much, much more all at the 58th Annual Vermont Dairy Festival in the center of the Village of Enosburg Falls, You don’t want to miss it.
