Max Neal Named Executive Director Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce
Sharon Green, Chairman of the Board of the Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce, announced today the hiring of an Executive Director for the organization. Chelsea Griggs was also hired as the Chamber’s Administrative Assistant.
Effective June 9, 2014, Max Neal assumed the position of Executive Director. Attorney Green stated that “Max is an experienced and long-time advocate for Chambers of Commerce having served as President/CEO and as Director of Marketing and Tourism covering a period of over twenty years.” The Board of Directors was unanimous in its decision to offer the position to Ms. Neal noting that she has the experience, talent, skills, commitment and passion required to provide leadership in implementing Board approved strategic planning, budget preparation and monitoring, membership recruitment/retention, as well as various other initiatives identified by the Board of Directors.
Ms. Neal is a graduate of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, Institute for Organization Management, Notre Dame University, Indiana. Prior to her Chamber experience in Watkins Glen, New York, Ms. Neal and her husband, William, resided in Northfield, Vermont where she owned/operated Trombly’s Flower and Gift Shop … On the Common. During that time she was President of the Northfield Business Association and a member of the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce. Her husband was the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Norwich University.
